  1. I've owned several.  They thrive in the summer months outdoors here.  It is unsafe to feed these plants anything other than ants, gnats, and other very small insects.  Most anything else will make your venus die.   Water occasionally They will flower and you will have a white bloom on a skinny lengthy stalk.  Enjoy

  2. I had one and it does not bite your finger. The are hard to keep healthy. They do die rather quickly.

  3. im wondering the same thing.

  4. It will try to bite you, but it won't hurt.  Feeding is tricky.  I find keeping it moist is better than feeding it bugs or hamburger.  They tend to rot and fall apart.  Stick to just water.  It's fun to tease them by tickling their lashes.

  5. Well id be smart to not it.it can be very haard to get it open.

  6. You can stick you finger in and it will "bite" your finger but it wont hurt you. The problem is that it takes the plant alot of energy to close and reopen so it is not a good idea to try this. You can feed it bugs now and then, but dont over feed it and dont give it hamberger meat. You should to keep it outside all year round if you dont want to feed it yourself. I have a few of my own that I have been growing for a few years this way.

  7. Stick your finger in one and find out first hand!
