Does adding food color to water make it hotter?

For example is blue water hotter than yellow water and then red water is less hotter when you add food coloring?

  1. depends on the temperature of the food coloring before its introduced into the water.


  2. pee in it. goes to yellow. might be hotter. wee what a warm answer

  3. Since colors do absorb light, then it follows that the darker ther color of the water, the more heat it is capable of absorbing.  Thus, depending on the shade of blue, it could absorb more heat than yellow. We are now getting into spectrographic analysis.

    Of course, in total darkness, temperatures would remain the same for obvious reasons.

  4. Actually, when yellow water is mixed with a ------------mix, the reaction is so violent that the government won't let it even be posted publicly.
