I had added some transmission fliud since i have had a leak and was runnning low. If i added to much, is that going to make the leak worse or is the fluid just coming out since there is too much?

  1. Oh yes.  That is a great way to get your seals to blow in 2 days of driving.

    good luck...

  2. Yes, it will.  The leak could be coming from the pan gasket, "O" ring on filler tube, seal(s) on axle shafts, or the pan gasket.

  3. Well, the leak isn't going to fix itself. Your going to have no choice but to get it fixed. Try Aamco trans. They are trans specialist & won't s***w you over. See link. Adding too much fluid will cause the fluid to heat up & expand, the pressure will build up & make it leak either through a bad seal or back out the tube you added it through. Don't wait to get it fixed. The longer you wait to correct a trans problem the worse they get. G'day!
