  1. Not usually.  When the adoption is final, the birth certificate is usually changed to reflect the adoptive parents names.

  2. Our official adoption certificate does not list the bio parents' names.  However, the adoption paperwork that we signed with the agency has both signatures of the bio parents and the adoptive parents (and we received a copy of that).

  3. We have all of our daughters records hospital , birth cert. , court papers the only thing that's not on is the father and that's because he was not mentioned and no blood test was done . but we do no his name and when we tell her her story she will have as much info as we can get.

  4. Some do, some don't.... mine didn't.

  5. I think it depends on if it was a closed or open adoption.  I was adopted.  I have never seen my adoption records.  You would have to contact the adoption agency to see if they will tell you.  Good Luck

  6. it depends what type of adoption it was most of the time it doesnt....because u have a closed adoption (meaning no contact with birth parents) but if u do have contact with them like a (open adoption) then yea

  7. Mine lists my adoptive parents, just like they'd given birth to me.

  8. Adoption records would have that information but in most states they are sealed. Adoptees have an amended birth certificate which uses the adoptive parents information instead of the natural parents information.

  9. No, this is usually kept confidential until you are 18 and it depends on if the birth parents wanted their identity revealed. The agency through which you were adopted will have this information.
