Does advil help period cramps?

  1. Ibuprofen and you can take up to 4 once every six hours (regular ibuprofen (ex Motrin or generic is good too/ per my GYN) just make sure you have food on your stomach.

Depends how bad they are.  If they're really bad it might help a little but it won't make them go away completely.  I've had terrible cramps my whole life and ibuprofen helps a little, heating pad helps a little, deep breathing helps a little, having an o****m helps the most but nothing makes them go away completely.  

  3. not for me. Aleve is best!!!  

  4. Personally from experience had the best luck with Aleve or Extra Strength Tylenol.  Sometimes a warm lap throw or hot water bottle will ease your discomfort and you may want to try that also.

  5. my OB/GYN told me to try Aleve and it's great!!! Plus, you only have to take it every 10 to 12 hours instead of 4-6 like advil.

  6. Yes, advil is basically made for it.

    motrin is very good also.

    But i suggest getting Midol it is made for cramps.
