  1. no, agriculture doesnt fight world hunger. because developed countries dont allow agricultural product producing countries to share their products with people who fight against hunger.

  2. Everyone in the world that isn't a subsistence hunter living in the bush would be hungry without agriculture. I'd say that's help

  3. YES in everyway possible!  Without Agriculture the whole world would be hungry and naked!!!!!!!

  4. Agriculture can actually causes hunger in some ways.

In increase in agriculture means increase in population, and increase in population means higher demand for agriculture. And if the weather turns for the worst, such as  drought, the farmers suffer and the crops fail to grow. As a result, many people will die/suffer of hunger.

The exact scenario to prove this, is Africa where many droughts occurs and many farmers suffer (crops fail) in turns the population suffer as a result.

Australia is facing the same crisis. There is a serious drought which are forcing the government to cut off the water to the irrigation to the farmer fields. Many people will suffer the effect of farmer's field failing to yeild any crops because most of them rely on the farming product of their own island.

  5. Not much. There's already enough food to feed everyone in the world, so growing more doesn't really help. Granted, if we stopped growing food or grew less, than that would cause hunger.

The problem is that hungry people don't have access to food, because they cannot afford it.

  6. wow are you that naive... without agriculture their would be NO food at all, then we would really be hungry, not only does it feed us but remember it also clothes us... without agriculture we would all be naked and hungry!

i didn't mean to copy you sunchine... naked and hungry, but it is very true and i love the FFA shirts that have that on them

  7. The recent relationship isn't the classic one, that's for sure. Throughout most of history, hunger was a matter of inadequate food supply. Now it's simply a matter of distribution.

  8. Well duh. Growing food feeds hungry people.

  9. All food, with the exception of most fish, comes from agriculture. More and more fish are being raised by agriculture.  So it is evident that without agriculture there could be no fight against world hunger.  This said, agriculture alone cannot solve the problem of world hunger.  It is going to take people, education, getting the food to the people who need it, teaching the people to grow their own food, and establishing sustainable agriculture in areas where hunger exists to effectively fight world hunger.  To paraphrase a well known saying, "Give me a bowl of rice and I'll eat for a day.  Teach me to raise rice and I'll eat for the rest of my life."  There is a great  need today for both.  People are starving that need the food today to stay alive, and they need to be helped to establish sustainable agriculture to be fed for the rest of their lives.  I worked for USAID as  Tropical Crop Specialist and could go on about this for pages, writing your paper for you.  But you would be better served by reading through the references below and see what is being done to fight world hunger.  A lot is being done, but so much more needs to be done.  These organizations need help, they need funds, but more than anything else they need dedicated workers.  They need people who are willing to dedicate their lives to helping fight world hunger.  It can be a very rewarding future, are you ready for the challenge?
