Does alcohol effect everyone?

Just wondering.

Because the other day i had quite a bit more than everyone else, and i don't usually drink, yet wasn't any different.

Everyone was complaining that i was too sober and should have a drink. (which i didn't, it's not good to drink because someone tells you to...) While they were all absolutely out of it five minutes later...

Also i'm very small, so shouldn't it have effected me more? and faster?

  1. depends on the body and the intake

    dont overdo it

but wine is so good for you heart

  2. Alcohol affects your judgment. Drunks are not good judges of how drunk they are. They have lost the ability to think clearly.

  3. It's good that you don't give in to pressure when other people try to make you drink.

Everyone has a different tolerance for alcohol, and also not everyone will *show* it as much.  Maybe you were fairly intoxicated, but you don't really act drunk?  Or maybe did you eat a lot of food beforehand?

  4. alcohol affects everyone!  you did the right thing by not drinking more when told to.  Allot of things also affect how alcohol is absorbed though.  Was your stomach empty or full? certain types of food will pump up your body and counter the sedative affects of the liquer too.  But yes, you'll get just as wasted given the same circumstances...

  5. Alcohol does affect everyone. But it depends upon a lot of factors to which degree. For instance, how much you drank, how much and when you have eaten, how fast you drank, and how strong the alcochol was.

You are right. You don't get drunk because someone tells you to.
