  1. yes in some cases

  2. Many people have a mild esotropia - a misalignment of the eyes - that they can overcome with minimal effort to have good binocular vision. A relatively small amount of alcohol interrupts the effort to keep the eyes straight, and one eye starts to turn in (less commonly, turn out). This is the reason that double vision is a temporary result of alcohol consumption. There are other effects of excessive drinking, both short and long term, but this is the commonest.

  3. YES! If you don't believe me pour a little in your eyes.

  4. it makes things move SLOWER when you're wasted. haha (though i dont know if that's sight related)

  5. It can cause long term damage to any / all of your body parts.  Short term, it impairs your eyesight and can cause incorrect perceptions.

    Bed spins.

  6. yes

  7. Yes after to many.

  8. Yes it does. Whenever I'm drunk girls look better. When I wake up in the morning it seems my eyes adjust to their looks and reality sinks in. I guess alcohol affects blood vessels in different parts of your body. Cell la vie.

  9. Well, there is "Blind Drunk" and "Beer goggles" both refer to eyesight when drinking.

  10. lol i wish that was the ONLY thing it effected ;)

  11. yes alcohol does effect your eyesight as long as it has an effect on u.Limiting the amount of alcohol you drink and sticking to the recommended number of units per week will help keep your eyes healthy. Alcohol affects the liver and reduces the level of an antioxidant called glutathione which can help to protect against eye diseases. The Department of Health recommends no more than three to four units of alcohol a day for men and two to three units a day for women.

  12. Over a long and concerted chronic alcohol intake yes it can .

In the UK we currently have aproblem with " cheap" cider which has never seen an apple.

It's full of really dodgy chemicals which can affect the optic nerve.

Methanol ( contained in illegal vodka )will definitely make you go blind.

I dont think its a case of going blind or losing your site but alcohol abuse will affect vision and sometimes give you tunnel vision =Brain damage and disturbance.

  13. Alcohol will not hurt your eyesight.  If you are heavily drunk, you will not be able to focus as well.  However, it is foolish to think that drinking is going to hurt you.

However, it is all in moderation.  Heavy drinking is bad for you, and may affect your eyes adversely.

  14. It effects brain cells...

  15. Yes. I gets harder to read and focus on objects when you have had a few to many. This is why you cant drink and drive.

  16. Haven't you ever seen double or quadruples when you were drunk?

  17. Yes it affects all your senses.

  18. Yes, it effects eye sight even when consumed in small amounts. (around 3 units +). This is because of the depressive effect on the nervous system. The eyes use the nervous system in order to focus the lens upon the retina in the eye to make an image of what we see. If there is a depressive effect this image will not be focused correctly, and even in small amounts can cause some image distortion.

    Hope this helps! x

  19. Only temporarily

  20. Yes, it's like when you first wake up and haven't focused yet.

  21. it kills brain cells and causes blurriness .. i don't drink i'm too Young

  22. yes it causes blurry.............

  23. Yes....it causes bluriness

  24. yes, it does, it effects absolutley everying around the body, it slows down everything and gradually builds up inside your body as a toxic. So its obviouse then that there would be alot more problems other than effecting your eyesight.
