Does alcohol show up in a hair follicle drug test?

i really really dont think it does. im on probation and i have drank before and have never failed one. but someone was talking about it the other day in my rehab class lol. they may not know what the h**l they are talking about but if i fail it then my probation will be revoked and i will goto the penitentiary. trust me when i say i will not be drinking on probation anymore

Actually, yes, you can test for alcohol consumption from a hair sample. Basically there are certain chemicals that are only produced when you ingest alcohol, and they become embedded in the hair indefinitely. Of course, the drug test would have to specifically look for these types of chemicals when testing the hair, so maybe your previous tests have not checked for such a thing.
