Now i would take soriano in a heartbeat just because hes more of a game changer than ramirez probably will ever be. But they both have very exaggerated finishes to their swing and always want to pull the ball. And defensively (when soriano played second base) they both make/made amazing plays but then would make bonehead decisions (such as holding the ball when you clearly would get the guy out at home by 10 feet or dropping a relay throw.)

  1. Ramirez's swing is all in his wrists as Soriano uses his legs for most of his power.

  2. Nope. I think Ramirez will be a decent player, but he's nowhere near Soriano.

  3. Yes, but in different ways. Both are very good hitters, both play in Chicago, and both have a chance of winning this year.

I would take Soriano EVERY time before Ramirez.

    Ron Santo: you disgust me.

  4. soriano is way skinier than ramirez. obviously right now i would take soriano over hanley, but i think in the future hanley ramirez will be a better hitter. hanley actually is a game changer. if you watch the florida marlins at all you might want to before talking about them. hanley ramirez has done walk offs and he has hit two home runs to win games for the marlins. and that's baseball! soriano is better now but hanley in my opinion, will be a better hitter than him.

  5. NO

  6. God I hope not! I like Alexei. Soriano is way overrated.

  7. alexei ramirez will be as good as soriano in a couple years u guys see his play at 2nd base yesterday look it up on the white sox website
