I need to know the most popular octane ratings and whether or not gas in TN or KY has ethanol.

At this time, use of ethanol in gasoline in TN and KY (typically flagged with the "up to 10% Ethanol" label) is not mandatory, although many places use it as a means to move away from high-priced gasoline, as well as step towards the mandatory "renewable fuels for the future" legislation.  Note that there is an MPG decrease with ethanol content, which may or may not be offset by the warm fuzzy feeling you get from using it.....

    I'll try to summarize sales info by grade, but apologize if the "table" falls apart here....see the reference source's url to get at the data for these and all states, and for different time periods.  Of note: it is clear to see the greatest % of sales goes to regular, the lowest cost grade.
