  1. No, only 21 out of 46 European countries have the Euro as regular currency.

    Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom, and most of the former east European countries behind the iron curtain still have their own currency.

    Some because the implementation was rejected by plebiscite (Denmark, Sweden, UK), some because the do not want to join (Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein) and the others mostly because of not meeting the economical requirements to join.

    You may be able to use the Euro in those countries too, but at an expensive exchange rate for individual transactions. So you better use the currency of the country, if staying there for a longer period.

    But you can easily get currency changed
