Does alum in a color coat of stucco keep the birds off a house?

I'm getting a color coat of stucco, and I want to know if I should spend the extra money to mix alum in it, I was told it will keep the birds off a house... does it?

who told you it would keep birds away from your stucco finish?  Get it in writing and sue him for fraud after he finishes the job.
