  1. Not at all.  We have not taken any responsibility with the management of our country and lives. We only demonstrate a self-indulgent lifestyle which has clearly shown  a negative affect for most. We work with a system that did not consider our times.  We are too lazy to focus, which allows some to suffer. What I do not get is , we do not get it.

  2. There are various political inequalities that is occurring in America.

  3. No. The U.S. or certain types in The U.S.A. did not have an interest in political equality and went on Red Witch Hunts.

To this day Communism, Socialism, any such politics are frowned upon. Environmentalism though considered good by most also has it's detractors who think of Environmentalists as Extremists.  The Media also has a focus on only two major political parties but ignores alternitives . The Media or specific portions more Concerviitive ones hail  the fall of Communismin The U.S.S.R. as proof of the superiority of their system and a triumph of  democracy  over totalitarianism. Communism was never put to the test in The U.S.A.  and also if it was claimed Communism was undemocratic yet people were afraid of people from a Communist Party which would have put to use the democratic process. People wonder why there is a shortage of good candidates. Well there you are the ones they vote for quash democracy. It is the principle that this is quashing democracy which annoys a person. The hypocrisy of accusing other people of being against Freedom while notbeing for it themselves. Another thing people bemoan The Five Year campaign of  Stalin but if they had to do something like that to stop Global Warming by  removing cars from the road they could not do it in five, twenty,or one hundred years.

  4. In most of America yes

But there are certain nations that, that doesn't apply to. Nicaragua and Cuba come to mind

  5. most people only care about themselves.

The country is definitely divided right now. The democrats believe that the Republicans are nothing more than a dumb idiotic non caring persona and of course vice versa. The individual thinkers like myself believes that are country is going down the drain because of the close minded of the 2 parties fighting for their parties belief instead of fighting for what is right for the good ol USA and not for the individual groups.

"Ask what you can do for your country and not what your country can do for you" is a long lost verse in our society now.

Someday our people will wake up and see what is good and I just hope it wouldnt be too late. Every great empire has fallen and we are on our way unless we can all figure out to share the same goal.

I believe that if we take care of our country but not our government, then our country will take care of us. Remember that there is a fine line between a government and a country.

A government manages a country. A country will rule its people but the people manages the government. I hope you guys can see this.

  6. No.  The short answer is no.  The USA is a representative democracy, not a direct democracy.  We select representatives to go do "all that political stuff" for us, because we are really not interested in the day-to-day mundane work of governing.  Also, the US government has three branches:  Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.  The legislative is elected.  The executive is not really elected.  The President and Vice President are elected, but then there are about 3000+ political appointments that the President chooses.  Also, there are many thousands more who are in the civil service (career government bureaucrats) who were never elected by anyone.  Many political science books say these people really run the government, the day-to-day administrative tasks.  And I haven't even gotten started yet on special interest groups!  Before you get totally discouraged though, the people do have significant imapct on the government.  In the USA, it is very difficult for the government to go the opposite direction from what the majority of people really want.

  7. There is no political equality. The original idea of the federal union of states was that the people in government were servants.  Government has grown unchecked for 200 years,  Supreme court judges hold title for a lifetime term and few people realize how much power federal supreme court justices have but shouldn't.  Senators that incur millions of dollars while in office and spend extravagantly, can hardly be considered a servant to the people.  The executive branch of government has no authority to legislate yet there are several cases in just the last term of presidency where this is defied.  Decisions are made that are not in the peoples best interests, such as the NAFTA and CAFTA agreements. And a possible North American Union?  Who voted for that?

Government has separated itself from the general public in an attempt to be rulers not servants. The problem with politics is that its filled with politicians. The problem with government is politics.
