  1. he needs good shoes that go over his ankles. He needs as much support as he can get until his bones and joints get strong. I would say Jordan's are great, because they are basketball shoes and they give excellent support to kids' ankles and make sure that he doesn't twist it while walking.

  2. Walking shoes are just shoes with very flexible soles so that the foot tells the shoe where to go and the shoe is not telling the foot where to go.  Take the shoes and flex the soles the one with the more flex should be the one you use.  I only put shoes on my kids when we go outside other wise they are bare foot so that they can learn how to walk without an object telling their feet how they should move.  I am a no shoe type of person so unless I am going out I don't even wear shoes around my house.

  3. he is your kid put whatever shoes on him that you want..if he is already walking then he doesn't need walking shoes

  4. if hes walking he needs comfortable shoes which allow his feet to be flat and some space so theyre not too tight, its better to be safe than sorry.

  5. No, kids don't need walking shoes.  I bought my son a $35 pair of walking shoes.  He walked better in normal shoes.  It's just another unnecessary added expense.

  6. I just read recently that a baby that is just starting to walk doesn't need shoes right away. Babies learn better with bare feet. My son is 14 months  and I just bought him his first pair of shoes, but he still only wears them like once a week. i let him walk around the house in bare feet.

  7. actually and truthfully a little kid- who just learned to walk or not doesnt really need shoes unless they are going to be walking outside. I read in What to Expect the First year that they think its better if you let your child go bare foot as much as possible at home while learning to walk.

  8. My kids all had the little white stride right walking shoes with the bells on them only because it was tradition in my moms family and she took them to the same store she took me to get my first pair of shoes.. it was a real shoe store, not like walmart, so my babies were properly measured and fitted for the shoes.  They were great shoes, but my kids also had lots of other shoes to match different outfits, well the girls did anyways ;-)    its not necessary to have those kind of shoes, but a good fit is important.
