Does an 11yr old have any rights as to where and who she wants to live with-her mom puts boyfriend 1st ?

She moved in with boyfriend 4months ago and 11 yr old still lives with aunt and gramma and doesn't want to leave "her home" Thanks!!

  1. Well I think it's better for her to decide where she wants to stay. I mean She probably doesn't feel comfortable with this man. And if her mom puts her boyfriend first well I don't think she worries about what her daughter thinks and why would her daughter put her first in her decisions.


  2. Her grandma or aunt could get a lawyer and start compiling evidence of how the girl's mother abandoned her. They'll set a court date and the grandma or aunt could be able to get custody of her on charges of child abandonment.

    My cousins are going through a similar thing right now, and my grandma and grandpa are trying to get custody of them, because their mom just up and left with some guy she barely knows.

    And judges are usually harsh when it comes to careless parents, so I'd say the cards are in the girl's favor, especially if she doesn't want anything to do with her mom anymore. E-mail me if you need anything else.
