I just saw this video on Youtube and got really confused.

There was a 82'' (wow, I know) "4K" TV, there was a comment saying:

"4K = 4096 by 2160 pixels displayed on a 1-to-1 basis"

The woman in the video said they were showing a 1920x1080 image on the TV and that it lokked great.

But since the TV is so big and it has ALOT of pixels wouldn't it mean that the image would get really strechted? (and you would have to watch from a far distance?)

  1. It works the same way a 720P signal gets displayed on a 1080P set. The set's processors create additional pixels to add to the picture so that the sreen can be filled-up. If the processor does it's job right, you'll get a great big version of the original picture.

    With that kind of resolution, you should be able to watch from tenn feet or so.

  2. it would'nt get streched but you have to sit about 20ft away.
