Is it true that an air conditioner uses the water that it creates, to cool down the air ...?

  1. No! Condensation should flow away from the unit that is inside your house, AC units don't make water, the water is already there, It collects on the fins and drips into a pan and flows outside, Just little drips at a time no flood or anything like that.


  2. central ac units need to be level,window units need to tilt away from home to get rid of condensation which has nothing to do with cooling.that is done with freon in the units coils

    If it is a central unit outside- then it should be close to level.

    If it is a window unit- it should slop slightly away from the window. Just enough for the water to run off.
