Basically, the story is that I am moving and going to be getting a rental truck. The place that I am moving to is only a few blocks from where I currently reside (Bigger apartment, hey).

The problem is that the new apartment won't be ready until about a week after my current lease runs out. The question is whether or not I should take my HDTV somewhere coller or if it will last in the back of the truck. I've heard answers on both side irl, and...well... another might be helpful.

In case it helps, my television is an Emerson and less than six months old.

  1. IS okay  for just 10 days lave it in " back of the truck " and cover it ... All LCD TV Design for low -30 to high  80  c temperatures. those component  use and LCD panel also PCB  / casing is okay with Max 80 c.  to cover you truck under hot sun a day ,max 50 c.  Okay.

  2. Heat is the enemy of your television..even when it is operating.

( So is extreme cold!) If your TV will be BAKING in the sun in your  car without even proper air circulation, it can harm some of the electronic circuits. I presume it is an LCD??

If you have the option of storing it elsewhere , where it would be cool, I would take that option!!
