Question:

Does an OH speeding ticket affect insurance premium in PA?

I have read that despite being part of an agreement to share information between states, PA is one of few states that does not assess points or put these tickets on driving record for essentially non-criminal tickets from other states. If this is true, is it safe to assume that my insurance company wont increase my premium? Thanks in advance

  1. Try to possess as much information as you can maybe is one option, however it is time consuming, here is the one i have ever had good experience with.http://insurance.free-onlinetip.info/ins...

  2. Even though Pennsylvania and Ohio are both members of the Drivers License Compact (DLC) points do not transfer.

As member states of the DLC Ohio courts will inform PennDOT of your conviction of an Ohio speeding violation. However the state of Pennsylvania has determined not to put minor out of state traffic violations onto PA motorists' driving record. Also points are not assessed to a PA driving record when the motorist is convicted of a point related offense in another DLC member state.

Some minor infractions may include speeding, running a red light, failure to stop at a stop sign, etc so your Ohio speeding ticket should not be placed on your PA driving record or assessed PA violation points

  3. .   They share information.  You insurance will go up.

  4. ask your agent.   you know what happens when you assume.
