Does an african gray need a separate slleping cage?

a few people have told that a african gray needs a separate sleeping cage i just wanted to no weather this was vital or is it just an extra thing you can do

  1. no it does not need a separate cage.  But a grey is the type of bird who is very social and may spend a lot of time out of its cage during the day (on a bird stand) so it does need to be put in a cage when you are sleeping or not around to watch or be with the bird...


  2. No it does not need two cages.... Just one cage to call it's own home. Then let it out as much as you can.... This is another old wifes tail that is not true. All of our greys do fine, Pets, Babies and Breeders a like.

  3. only if you like cleaning cages for a hobby!!! my Grey has only one cage, is just a matter of preference.

  5. No, African Grays do not need a separate cage for sleeping. They are quite content with their one "room" so long as you let the bird out daily to exercise, climb and investigate...they are curious birds.
