US citizens do NOT need a visa to enter the UK.

For a visit it is no real big deal if you have a US passport. Once you are in the air the crew will at some point hand you a card that takes all of 4 minutes to fill out. Purpose of visit, passport #, your job and where you are staying. But as long as you have a US passport the rest is extraneous info.

They will give you an automatic 3 months but if you are staying longer 6 months means.... you just ask. It is stamped and you are fine. It takes all of again 4 minutes after you stand in line for a bit.

people do not have to go to other country's just come to England and find a multiple nation all in one place
