Does an email address expire if not used for several years? We opened marios_kitchen@yahoo.com a few years ago

and now cannot open it.

  1. One months of inactivity.  Then its temporarily suspended.  If you try to open it again you will be ask to for details of accounts.  If after 6 months, still inactive.  Then you have to sign in again.


  2. My son goes fishing in Alaska for close to a year at a time, and is always amazed that his yahoo email still works.

    I guess it's 'luck of the draw'.

  3. Yep, you could try to e-mail them and ask them if they want to sell it though. Because if someone didn't own it, it would ask you if you wanted to reactivate it.

  5. definitely!! others even expire faster.. like within a month without activity..

  6. I had an email I did not use for a couple of years. It was de-activated by yahoo and yahoo gave me instructions as to how to request to re-activate same account again.

    If you can't get to your email account, maybe you are using either the wrong user name or password.

    Otherwise try getting a new email account at the other free web based emails. one that starts with a g....
