Does an honors class raise your GPA?

I know an honors class or an AP class raises the credit, but does it raise your GPA?

  1. In my school, it raises your GPA .33 points per honor class.


  2. its exactly what the person in front of me said, but at some schools (like mine), it actually says that its on a 5.0 scale, but it actually weighs the same as a regular class.

    it didn't really help my gpa at all even though i got an A in the course.

    well if you take honors, you better make an A- at least or it actually won't help ur gpa; it might even cause it to go down a lot.

    it all depends on your school's grading system and how they calculate gpa. some schools add in the previous semester and year's gpa also..

    however, this depends on which school you attend, and in the case of colleges both your raised and raw GPA are taken into consideration
