No, of course not.  The marriage changes nothing.  The only way to get the illegal's status changed requires the illegal to leave and go home.  Once the illegal is back where he/she belongs you can start the process.

Since you are already here and already married "with" a US citizen, (should be married to) than go to the USCIS and adjust your status.  It is illegal to enter the US with the intentions of adjusting your status, but since you already have than go down and make it legal.  You won't be tossed, take your marriage licenses and your husband with you.  It will cost something, but it will still be cheaper than had you done it the right way. Once you have status than you can work.
