  1. It depends entirely where you are. In any European country (I'm in the UK) you have an automatic right under the Sale of Goods Act and also the Consumer Protection acts to be sold a product that is "fit for purpose" for a reasonable period of time after first using it. I'd say a reasonable period for an iPod is three years minimum. If you buy with a Credit Card online you have even more rights, because the card company has obligations on top of others.

12 months RTB (return to base, return to vendor) warranty is your right (in Europe), and in many cases this is sufficient protection. Two and three year "extended warranties" often don't give you any more than you have under law.

  2. no its extra

  3. In the UK YES, in the USA its only 90 Days.

it depends on where you buy it from (country wise not what store).

the basic warranty is based in the country where you buy it from unless you purchase a unit with the international warranty (duty free shops etc)

  4. Apple covers all their ipods for 1 year from the date of purchase. Don't listen to anyone that tells you differently. If you like call 1-800-275-2273. That is the phone number to Apple and any of their customer service agents will tell you the same. :)

  5. yyh i think so i had a on year with my ipod nano it should
