  5. In general, no, it won't use energy.

    These strips are, in fact, the recommended way to turn off "phantom loads" like your VCR, TV, DVD player, etc. that draw a little power even when not being used.

  6. It might pull a few mil watts but that is nothing.

  7. Nope...its just like leaving a lamp pluged in. When it is off there is no current being pulled through it.
