  1. He can go through the court to get visitation.

  2. no they dont automatically have access, they have to apply to a court for that.

ps they have a right to see the child if they pay or not. but its if the mothers willing to let them.

  3. As far as I know, unmarried partners have NO rights.(laws may be different now)

But you will have problems claiming child maintenance if he is not on the birth certificate.

Unless he was abusive or otherwise, don't just cut him off because your p****ed off with him, he will always be ( if indeed he is) their father.

  4. Yes he does, unless there are mitigating circumstances, ie he is dangerous

  5. from what i gather, you didnt put the fathers name on the birth certificate so you could claim single mothers pension, with no hassles, right?? made out you didnt know who the father was?? but now, further down the line, your going for maintenance? well if he IS the father, and you know he is, then he has a right to see his child whether he's in a position to pay maintenance or not. the point is, does he know you have his child, or didnt you tell him? and more to the point, why would you deprive a child of having contact with his/her father anyway, unless they were of unsavoury character.

  6. The gal wants money, but wants to prevent the father from being around his child???  Good luck!!

  7. Absolutely he doesn't have the right. He can be accused of kidnapping if he get the child from the registered mother on the birth certificate.

  8. this sounds little tricky and be clear

  9. married or not the father has rights to his child..... support or not he has rights to his child.... stop being selfish your child may hate you in the end for not letting them see their father....my sons father is not on the certificate and we have never been married and he pays support he has rights but choses not to see his son or have any contact with him

  10. He would need to establish that he is the father, i.e. DNA testing, then petition the courts for visitation. From what you asked, right now, he doesn't have any rights, until he does the above. It's up to the mother if she chooses to let him see the child.

  11. NO men are scum!

  12. If he is not named on the birth certificate, then he is not legally the father and has no legal rights where the child is concerned. He must file in court for visitation. The first step would be to prove paternity, which would entail a DNA test. After he's proved paternity, he could ask for visitation, or even joint custody. See an attorney.
