Does an upconverted DVD look any better than a 480p resolution?

  1. If you're tv is 720 or 1080 then upconverting a dvd to that resolution will be HD and looks a lot better than 480.  Upconverting a standard dvd to 1080p looks almost as good as HD-DVD/BluRay and HD satellite/cable.  Also, playing a VHS on an HD tv looks about like 720p digital resolution.

    However, on 480 digital or standard tv you will see no improvement from upconverting.


  2. Provided if you have a HD PLASMA TV.BUT IN LCD TV IT WILL MAKE LESS DIFFERENCE AND IN CONVENTIONAL TV IT WON'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.
