It depends where you are leaving from.  If you are looking for cheap hotels, try Husa in Alaquas, and Holiday Inn in Bonaire.  They speak English in both and are only about 10 min. from Valencia and the airport, plus the Americas cup and the pope are coming soon.  They are only about 60 € a night if you book them through www.easypropertyspain.co.uk, but if  you do it yourself it could cost up To 160 €.  Another cheap place is CASA MORA.  www.valenciabedandboard.com

hostelworld.com does budget hotels, apartment and some nice hostels and you can see how many people have voted for how god the place is which I think is good.

I don't know about flights as you dont say where you are from or where you want to go but try www.flymonarch.co.uk www.jet2.co.uk or www.easyjet.co.uk
