  1. I say colored gemstones are a girl's best friend....so any thing you want, Toots.....and mine is not a diamond, or even a single stone....it's a two stone bypass, his birthstone &mine, each heartshaped, accented by 7 round diamonds......perfect for me.

  2. It can be whatever you want.  There is no rule saying that the ring has to have a diamond, that's just the norm.  Be different.

  3. It can be whatever you want.  for my engagement ring, my husband gave me a gold wedding ring that has been in his family for nearly 100 years.  To me, it's better than some generic diamond.

  4. Diamonds are a girls best friend but some girls dont care for all that some only want a small ring and a big ring for when you say i do see if she likes gold and go to kays see what the have or even a pond shop she cant till the diff just dont for get to take one of her rings for the sizing have fun

  5. It can be whatever you choose. Remember Princess Diana? Her ring was a large sapphire with little diamonds surrounding it. You can have whatever stones, if any, you want.

    Hope this is helpful!

  6. It can be whatever she wants. Don't worry about the style, go unique and do your own thing. It'll be more fun that way! That reminded me of Legally Blonde 2 when Elle had a pink stone on her engagement ring. You can always take her shopping just to look around and get hints from her what she likes, then get the perfect ring. Good luck and hope I helped!

  7. Girl you can have whatever you want!! Its your world lol.. I really wanted a thick thick plain band. But, he had to get Diamonds.lol I think that it should be what you want!! But, if you have somthing in mind that you want girl you best be droppin hints..lol

  8. I love, love, love colored stones.  If you know she loves it and you love it, then go for it.

  9. I've seen ruby, sapphire, amethyst, emerald & opal.

Get what's going to make you happy.

  10. The engagement ring is for you, it can be anything you want.  Don't you sometimes read about "stars" getting rings of emeralds, rubies, and other gyms?

  11. Whatever you want, baby. Whatever you want.

  12. DeBeers created the diamond tradition. Colored stones used to be the tradition.

Sapphires, rubies, and emeralds are all common choices of gemstones that are strong and durable.

  13. you can have whatever you choose, but make sure you get a gem that holds up. A friend of mine at work can't wear her engagement ring all the time because it's an emerald and they told her that it would last 10 years because it's a soft stone.

  14. It can be whatever you want.

  15. Whatever is more meaningful for you. My future SIL has a blue topaz, it's gorgeous.  Sometimes people don't realize it's an engagement ring even though it's on the left hand, but aht's exactly what it is, and it's perfect for them.

  16. Whatever the girl wants, and her future husband can comfortably afford. Diamonds are traditional but certainly NOT the only option.

  17. It can be anything you want.  Mine is a diamond but the wedding band has sapphires in it.  I love blue sapphires..

  18. If she wants color give her color. It's definitely not traditional, but they are gorgeous, and a lot more common than you think. Everything about the wedding, especially the stuff she will be wearing is about her, there is no "have to" for weddings anymore, there is always room for originality.

  19. Wedding rings do not have to be diamonds. It's nice and special to have the man choose, though.
