Does anti depressants cause memo loss ?

Does it effect the Short Term memo or LTM ?

  1. Not at all.


  2. some antidepressants can cause short term memory loss. I take paxil and I have huge gaps in my short term memory. I have followed up to make sure that I did not have any other problems that could be causing it but they found nothing. I also had this problem when i took prozac.  

  3. ive never had memory loss from them never heard of it either.

  4. I've never known anti-depressants to cause memory loss but depression itself can. I have lost about 6 months of my memories because of depression and those memories will never come back so I have stopped trying to get them back and my anger over losing them is slowing going away. We just have to keep going on each day knowing that we are here to help others even if it is just with a smile to someone.
