  1. pictures probably would be best obtained from local sources, as mentioned by other poster.

for official ICC/STB derailment reports, these are federal documents.  many are online now, i have read some.  go to the STB's website to start, i dont know the exact link.

printed books/reports are distributed to certain libraries.  my university of illinois at urbana-champaign library has all the derailment reports, i think northwestern univ transportation library gets them too.  they are all printed by a company in omaha ne,  simmons-boardman, and they keep copies and have a library that you can visit.

check out www.library.uiuc.edu and www. simmonsboardman.com

and the STB web site, see if they have the pdf of the derailment report online, as i have read others.

  2. You can try contacting the Wisconsin State Journal, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, or any of the local newspapers in the area near and around Weyauwega. They may have pictures of the event in their archives.

You may also want to contact the Waupaca County Sheriffs Department for the official report or the Village of Weyauwega, too.

You can also try the Wisconsin DOT or the Wisconsin Department of Commerce as I'm sure one of them may have pictures or the official report.

I am almost positive any one of these sources will have the information you need.

I hope my answer helps you out!
