I am in Alexandria, VA 22314. Minimum 7m.pix and not exceeding $400.

Try the Used section at B&H Photo Video.  They give the lenses/cameras/accessories ratings as to what shape they're in (they field test everything they buy used.)  I bought a used 55-200 lens for my D50 a couple years ago and it works great.

It's kinda like ebay, but it searches for items in your local area.  And, you can email the person selling it before you buy it to make sure it is in good shape and stuff.
