Does any body have tips for trying to teach your self how to play guitar?

Only try to teach your self if you all ready know how to play another instrument.

Get help.  Pay for it or not.

There is a lot of material in the stores and on the net, but only another human can catch your little mistakes before they become big mistakes.

you can find an online teacher, there are plenty of guitar teaching sites

if youre musically gifted, or you just wanna give it a shot, teach yourself. print out a chord chart and learn chords, print out guitar tabs to your favorite songs and learn them. thats what I do, and its coming along fine

I dont know about anyone else but guitar hero and rock band help motivate me and give me good songs to learn
