Does any body know any good bars in southampton?

Well I live in Southampton and would have to say its not great for bars! Can't wait til Oceana opens in Sept! I'd say the best places to go would be Bedford Place and London Road area, lots of bars and some clubs. Some cheap places to drink also due to the fact there are a lot of students. You could also check out Que Pasa on the high street, has good nights and bad. Avoid Yates like the plague! Have fun!

Yes good bars are mostly located in Bedford Place in the student area of the Polygon - Bedfords, Mono Bar and Orange are a few, there is also a Wetherspoons on the nearby London Rd.  In the centre of town you have the chain bars ie Yates', Slug & Lettuce, Walkabout, but I would not recommend them at the weekend as they can get very busy and quite chavved up (no offense).
