If you're looking for a shcool for a deaf shild to go for it should be listed under special schools.

I'm not sure what else you want to know. Could you elaborate on the question?

  5. Deaf education can mean and represent a few different things. I will help you specifically for deaf education in the USA.

Deaf education can be done in two or a few ways. If they are at a private school designed specifically for deaf students, the class will be completely in sign language. They will work on basic state standards as if at a normal school. It will be easier to learn for them. Everyone on the deaf school campus is proficient in American Sign Language and/or deaf! Many of the staff are also deaf. The deaf schools are a welcoming environment and are actually hard to find. Examples of these schools would be gallaudet university, California School for the Deaf, Fremont; and California School for the Deaf, Riverside.

Many schools now offer mainstream systems where deaf students actually attend classes in an average school environment with other deaf students and hearing students. An interpreter is available and assigned to interpret during classes for the deaf student. If not enough interpreters are available, the deaf students do not get an interpreter for PE. In order to been an interpreter in many states, you have to pass the EIPA exam (Educational Interpreters Performance Assessment). They do not want an interpreter that can't interpret. This is also performed in American Sign Language.

I personally am a certified and credentialed American Sign Language Interpreter here at a local hearing high school.

I am not sure exactly what you meant by your question, so I just gave you basic details.
