  1. as a general rule if yougo 1 farad for every 1000 watts your charging system/lights wont be affected

    goodluck

  2. No you dont need a capacitor. that amp is rated at 111 watts rms x 4. I recommend you use a capacitor for every 1000 watts rms being used. By that i mean 1 fared for each 1000 watts. I hope this helped

  3. A cap is 1 farad per every 1000 watts.

    So use your judgement.

    I doubt you do.

  4. if you really want a cap( i own one and i dont see a difference, lights still dim and what not), get a 1/2 farad to 1 farad, you shouldnt need more than 1/2 though, walmart sells a 1/2 farad for 50 bucks or online is your cheapest way of getting one.

  5. The effectiveness of a capacitor is debatable. i use a 20 farad hybrid cap. and the lights still dim out a little. If you want one for your set up go for a 1 farad. it should work well. Also, before you get the cap. upgrade the "Big Three". The big three are the cables the run from the 1) Battery negative to chassis 2) Alternator to battery positive 3) Chassis to engine. You'll get a better result from the big three than you will a cap.
