well, there's marco pollo, water polo, sharks and minnows, water tag, colors, categories, and a bunch more. just look online or ask a bunch of kids. that always works. we kno wats fun. just ask around

It depends on how many people you have.  

I always liked number tag, which is like tag, but each of the depth markers (like 6 ft) are base.  This game works well with as little as 5 people.

Then there is sharks and minnows, where one swimmer is the shark and the rest are minnows.  The shark starts in the middle of the pool with all of the minnows on one side of the pool.  The shark yells "minnows, minnows, come on over" and all of the minnows try to get to the other side without getting "eaten" by the shark.  To "eat" the minnows, the shark must touch the top of the minnow's head while the minnow's head is above the water.  In other words, the shark may have to pull the minnow up from the bottom.  After all of the minnows have made it accross, any minnows who were eaten become sharks.  The minnows keep going back and forth until there is only one minnow left.  This minnow then becomes the shark and all sharks become minnows and the game starts over.  This game works best with lots of people (at least 10 or more).  I have played it with up to 60 people.
