Does any body on here believe they have earned a violation notice?

We all have the right to an opinion.

However, sometimes hateful, or debate stifling people will try to have your views silenced for nothing. Still though, will any body be honest?

Do you think, looking back candidly; that you have ever said anything totally stupid which deserved a violation? May be not on every occasion, but on some.

Please give your answers.

  1. sure have.

and my stuff is minor, very minor compared to what I see on other forums here...so I take everyone who complains as a fool.

you have a right to an opinion, sure, but you don't have a right to have yahoo give a forum to you presenting it.

if you can't write it in a way that doesn't get a notice, and every issue comes up here regularly so you get repeated chances, then whose fault is that that you can't adjust your writing for the audience?

  2. I know, its ridicoulous. This is supposed to be a site for giving opinions etc and i had a question removed for challenging a certain group of people who continually put questions in the wrong category because, and I quote "only want answers from people who have the same religion as them". And yet they are never reported for racism or violating the community guidelines.  I also had my account suspended for recommending a reputable well known website, i had to fight yahoo to have my account re-instated.  Meanwhile there is a disgusting individual on here continually promoting harm to children with his questions and using the name of a well known paedophile as his user name and nothing is done about that.

Anyway, sorry for going on a bit, I'll probably be reported for ranting now lol xx

  3. I just posted a fairly jokey question in the religion section which I was fully expecting to be deleted. Although it wasn't my intention to upset people it seems I have done. I realise that people could be offended by it but I wish people would just take things a little more lightly. I'm not being abusive whereas some of the answers were towards me. Yet I wouldn't dream of reporting them. As you say everyone is entitled to an opinion.

  4. Yes, I have earnt violations.

Generally though I believe some people just latch on to an individual they don't like the sound of and enjoy reporting them:  Just to feel important.

I agree a lot of nasty stuff goes through uncensored, and alien is right:  Using a known paedophile's name is unacceptable.

I generally take my medicine, but Yahoo! Should pay staff, instead of being cheap skates and letting "top reporters" decide what people can opine upon.

  5. I have occasionally...but usually no.  The most innocuous answers get deleted by the Neocons.  I'm sure its true on both sides though.

  6. No, never

  7. No, I got a violation for asking why christian music is terrible.

The reason was "This is not a question"

  8. Yes, I will admit that I have. But I also believe that others get by with questions that they never should. For some reason, they always pick on me. I don't understand it...

  9. yes we may have the right to an opinion that doesn't mean you can broadcast it on Y/A if you do not want to hear somebodies answer/opinion don't ask the question is what i say.yes sure sometimes i know i am going to get a violation but its usually for telling the truth.Sometimes if the question is obviously provocative on purpose i say stupid things because that what the question deserves in my eyes.I have also had violations for the most stupid reasons such as pretending to be a dog(i mean how pathetic is that?)

  10. No and I've received a few unjust ones, waste of time appealing as well
