  1. Today, since I didn't have time to procure an interview for you, I thought I'd share with you an interview with me. Last weekend, my New York friend Liz revealed to me a part of her life that previously, I could only imagine: the Jersey Shore. You may not know this but Chicago is situated on a Great Lake, thus negating any reason to get stuck in traffic in order to get to the beach. So I wanted to see what the hubbub on the East Coast was all about, where people go when they flee Manhattan (I'm going to assume that the Jersey Shore is just like Fire Island and the Hamptons). After a little sunburn and some late night pizza, she wanted my reaction to the shore on the record:

  2. This question has been asked a few times.  Yes there is surf on the Great Lakes and yes there are surfers in Michigan.  Go online and check out the Great Lakes Surfing Association.  You will find about everything you need.  I only surfed there once, during the summer, and the water was cold.  Also, the swells are similar to the Gulf rather then the East or West Coast.

  3. When I lived in Wisconsin, I did see people attempt to bodysurf the lake during the summer time.  The biggest waves on the lake tend to occur during the winter time, when you don't want to be bodysurfing, unless you have a wetsuit on.
