I was able to see from the website that it cost $10 for admission, but does this also allow you to eat? If not does anyone know how much the tickets and how much food you can get for a set of tickets?

  1. Like everyone said 10.00 admission, food tickets separate.  If you decide to go, plan on a weekday during the day.  Nights and weekends are jammed shoulder to shoulder.

Went twice and will not go back- alot of hype and long lines with no where to sit, you have to bring your own blankets or chairs.  Better off trying a new rib joint.  Only my opinion, if you like huge crowds go for it.

  2. the food is a seperate price, but well worth it with all the many different types.  The $10 admission charge covers all the other activities that they usually have there, some of the rib booths also have samples.  There is almost always music/bands that perform as well, so in all reality, $10 is a good price to get in, if that covered all of the food, the rib booths would not profit at all.

  3. No, the $10 is only admission

The food and specifically ribs are separate.

You can get 'sample sized' portions of the ribs rather inexpensively. You then vote for your favorite. It's actually a great turnout of different vendors and some places come from around the world

  4. 10 bucks for ILLINOIS ribs?  I don't think so..   In reality ribs don't truly exist outside of Memphis.

  5. Here's a link to the Ribfest event.  When I've gone in the past, the food has always been charged separately.  There are a number of food vendors that will be there, and they all set their own prices.

  6. The 10$ also covers all the bands.

You can use cash for food, you can do a taste or a meal.

You do need tickets for beer.  You can not bring in any food or beverage.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit for the concerts.

There are tons of activities for kids; petting zoo, jumping rooms, games, ect.

The contestents are from all over the country.  It is a great fest and the fire works after the last concert (REP Speedwagon this year) are FANTASTIC!

  7. They changed the price this year.  It's now 32 cents
