I know its very common. My back gets so bad i cant sleep. (I have a bad back anyway due to operation on my leg which threw my back alignment). Anyway, i was wondering how women ease the pressure off your back at night so i can maybe get some sleep.

Cheers

  1. I had intense pain in my back during pregnancy. I have a fused vertebrae so it can be painful on a regular basis, and pregnancy just shot it up. I found that I slept better if I put a pillow between my legs while I slept on my side. It took some of the pressure off my back. Or I would get my husband to gently rub my back until I would fall asleep. That helped sometimes.

  2. It's very common.  Try sleeping with a body pillow or pregnancy pillow between your legs and underneath your belly.  It helps relieve some pressure from your back.

I found sleeping on the couch is more comfy than the bed - my hubby misses me, but I actually sleep all night.

  3. YES! I have it too. It's terrible. What I do is use my full body pregnancy pillow behind me - instead of cuddling it. So, I can lean into it (so I'm not totally lying on my back or on my side) - and then I take the bottom part and put it between my legs. I must say the back pain isn't 100% better but it feels a lot better.

  4. i sleep on my tummy, with a small pillow under my lower abs. i am only 1 month pregnant so im not big yet tho.

  5. I have the same problem. I've had 4 knee surgeries that have made my hips out of alignment, which was made me have back pain. The only thing that helps me is putting a pillow between my knees. I guess that helps things line up better. Sorry i don't have anything more helpful! Hope you feel better.

  6. I am 32 weeks, and my hips bother me when sleeping.  Only thing I have found that helps is putting a pillow between your legs to make your hips even.
