Hey dont knock rhythmic gymnastic is just as much a sport as ping pong, trampoline and walking and of course for the winter sports curling.

I agree with Irene.

For me the Olympics are a chance to see quite a few sports I will only see once every four years. And watching beautiful leggy women dance with their various apparatus isn't a hard thing for me to do. Much more fun than watching race walking or trampoline.

I think it is! It's really nice to watch.You have to be very flexible. I think it's hard to do some of what they are doing. It's not just dancing around with a streamer on a pole.. o.O

They use hula hoops and other stuff too. I'd like to see you do all that flexible stuff.

You know, I was just thinking about this earlier today. And no, I don't think it counts as a real sport. It's ridiculous and has no place at the Olympics. But same goes for a number of sports, such as racewalking and sailing.

I think it is stupid. Why don't they include lap dancing and ago-go dancing too? I think just because it looks hard doesn't mean it is a sport.

Rythmic Gym. and Stripping are quite different. And yes I beleive it is a sport. You try it sometime. I know I couldn't do what they do.

it takes considerable skill to do andn you need to be nimble and flexible

I'm an italian gymnast, and i say that IT IS. We work hard, up to 3 hours at day, and if we're not perfect, if we do a little mistake, we're hardly punished. I love this sport, and it's a wonderful sport, that must rest in Olympic games. Maybe, you think that it's just a ridiculous type of dancing, that we like to do stupid things with a ribbon, but it's wrong, there it's more..or i will not use minutes of my life (in italy are 12.20, if you don't think about this), and my brain to speak english, not well, but, i hope, as well as you can understand what rhythmic gymnastic is..^_^

it's so strange, if i just write "you" it's impossible to know if i'm referring to you, that ask, or to all the others..strange english!! ^.^

Yeah they might as well add stripper pole dancing. Sailing is ridiculous to. What work is involved in sailing?????
