Not sure what, exactly you mean by "tortured and whipped" but if you're talking about being spanked and tied up, that is a not uncommon (and not really unhealthy) sort of kinky foreplay.  There are probably thousands of people who respond as you have experienced (or fantasized).  If the activity turning you on is a good bit more extreme than that (e.g., causing you actual injury), then you are an extreme case and might want to at least CONSIDER getting some counseling.
