I'm begging to differ with the guy that says "Handball's starting to get popular in Spain." You're talking about the cradle of the sport, where it originated. Pelota Mano has been played in Spain and Southern France for 100's of years and you make it sound like they're just discovering the sport. In many towns, the center is dominated by a court where many versions of Pelota are played, including "handball." Do a bit more research.

Handball is really starting to get more popular in Spain and the Basque region. Infact the Basques have their own version of handball called Basque Pelota. Spain and the Basques have started to host international tournaments as has Italy. i am 12 and in my school we play handball alot in gym but we play with some modified rules like there are side lines
