  1. Hi LindyBug!!! Actually im not a user of AVG now, because there's a situation happen in our pc when we are using this AV program. As i say "WE" - me & my colleagues, it just happen that all of us before were a fanatic using AVG.  Almost all of us have the same problem at the same time when we update AVG online, as it finish downloading all the contents the next thing to do is scanning all of your harddrive - am i right? After scanning, yes it did perform great detecting infected files but the thing is when i apply "HEAL INFECTED FILES" it was the worst thing happen in my pc. It did not boot at all... AVG crash my computer!!! Now i dont want to use it anymore, period!!! Because the next thing i noticed, i am reformating my PC... and that is tragic, i thought i am the only one who suffered this kind of matter. After a days , a weeks - all oy my friend whom a user of AVG inform me that they need to reformat their PC.... Well its up to you if you will continue using AVG...

  2. Having the same problem.

  3. I just want to say that if you are serious about virus protection, you will not diddle around in this.  It has no spy ware protection, leaving you wide open.  I recommend Eset Smart Security.

Scans 500 gigs in 20 minutes, and finds fixes for viruses a week after they come out.

  4. I have exactly the same problem hun. Its really annoying the h**l out of me. My mate told me to uninstall and reinstall which i have done twice but it has made no difference. I have also restarted my pc more times then i can count but it has made no difference for me. If i get any answers you will be the first person i tell. I suggest leaving it until tomorrow and see if it works then. If it wont for me then i will change back to Avast anti virus.

I sorted it. I opened the AVG user interface, clicked on 'update now' then on 'updating' when it comes up with a small box it should ask you which one you want to update. Click on the bottom one (i think it was program) then click on update and that did it for me so i hope it works for you too. Good luck hun.

  5. Yeah me too just now iono what happened i'm trying again.

  6. Yes my did that a while ago Just restart your computer and re-connect to your internet connection and it should work!

    Hope I'e helped!

    Bye! x

  7. Sounds like it is a problem on the AVG server. Nothing you can do if it is on their end till they fix it. Try again later. But if it dose not fix it self in a few days then you have a problem.
