If you have any jingle bells on Christmas ribbon, you just hang those from a hook on the door.

if you have a bead curtain (or just lots of beads), then put it in front of the door. It looks good, can be placed to the side if it's annoying and- if yours ends up at all like mine- can be heard from anywhere in the house when someone enters.
