Question:

Does any one know about eating the dry seed of "Ideal Market" green beans?

I grew some Ideal Market green beans this year, and a whole bunch of them got too big before I could pick them, so I let the pods dry out. Now I have a ton of dry beans on my hands, and I would like to use them for chili or something like that. THese beans are not marketed as eating beans when dry, only in green stage, so I am looking for some info on them when dry.

thanks!

  1. Cook them just like you do navy beans..a small white bean..or you can save them to plant next year only if they are not a hybred or other varities of beans were grown near them

Heres a basic recipe and time chart for cooking different types of beans
