Does any one know any numbers that I can dial up BT Yahoo internet?

Hello i'm from UK and I cannot use a external modem on a laptop and so I have had to use the internal modem to set up an internet account. I have been given one number but did'nt work and dialled 0 but no luck. Does any one know any number/s to connect to the internet?

Did you buy a dial-up package from BT? You can't just dial a number to get dialup internet, I know because I was on it until a couple of months ago. Once you have bought the backage, then you can dial their number and get connected. But it's really not worht it, cos its £15.99 for dialup and £15.99 for their cheapest (option 1) broadband package.

You can either try to reinstall the driver for the card that isn't working (look on the laptop manufacturer's site) or you can buy a card that will give you an Ethernet jack - which kind, PCMCIA, USB, etc., depends on what's available on the jack.  It'll give you the same speed on the internet that you get on the HP.  (Dial-up is like a man with one foot in the grave, the other knee broken, running a race.  Very slow and very painful.)
